As a successful private equity firm, Pamlico Capital desired to differentiate itself in a highly competitive and crowded industry. In order to establish credibility with investors and entrepreneurs, a new website was needed; one that accurately reflected the stature of the firm and clearly communicated key value propositions and messages. Pamlico Capital chose to partner with the Union (formerly Studiobanks) team to concept, design and develop an engaging, highly-functional digital marketing platform which effectively communicates Pamlico's impressive 23-year history and the quality of Pamlico's work.
The Union team started the redesign process by studying Pamlico Capital's key national competition - to better understand the private equity industry’s unique challenges and opportunities in the digital landscape. Then, utilizing those insights, we set out to break the conventional mold of private equity platforms and create a richer, more memorable storytelling experience while still addressing the needs of Pamlico's various users.
Pamlico's new design was developed as a fully-responsive website that scales to deliver the same user-friendly experience across any connected-device. And since visual storytelling was emphasized throughout the site, Sean Busher Imagery, was hired to capture the Pamlico team and their office culture through both still-shots and video. To further enhance the new digital platform, Union put a content management system in place to support the new website and allow the Pamlico team to track leads, as well as update their webpage content to keep it current and relevant.
The Pamlico Capital digital marketing platform launched in mid-December as one of the richest content experiences in the private equity space. In just one short month, users already appear to be more engaged than ever before, spending a minute or more longer on the website than they used to, which is a 34% increase in visit duration.
