Online advertising scores a victory

This just in: print is dead. Ok, well perhaps that’s an overstatement, but print advertising is still not only declining it’s reached an important new milestone. For the first time ever, companies are spending more money on online advertising than they are on print. I’ll let Mashable take it from here:

“According to a study released Thursday by eMarketer, online advertising is expected to generate $39.5 billion in sales this year — a 23.3% increase from 2011 — compared to a sum of $33.8 billion on print.”
