Bojangles' is famous for fresh chicken, made-from-scratch biscuits, and delicious sweet tea…but not necessarily for its online presence or digital marketing campaigns. So when the company came to Union (formerly Studiobanks) and said they needed a way to run new promotions and drive in-store foot traffic through online marketing channels – we put on our thinking caps (and ordered a round of biscuits for inspiration, of course).
Bellies full and faces smiling, we came up with the perfect solution: an online reservation system. We developed the system in partnership with Boone Oakley, and Bojangles' was thrilled. Its flexible design allows the company to run an unlimited number of special promotions that drive people to restaurants by allowing the costomer to make an online reservation for a free product give-a-way. Once on the reservation system, customers can pick the free product they wanted to try, as well as the day, time and their favorite Bojangles' location for pick-up (ahem…their reservation). Coupons were are sent via email and customers receive a nice follow-up email after redeeming the offer. Promotions can run at different times of the year at locations all across the county.
There continues to be a huge spike in foot traffic to Bojangles' restaurants each time they run a promotion, with tons of people making and redeeming their reservations. Customers love the unique setup of the reservation system, and how easy it is to use their coupons. For Bojangles', the system serves as an innovative and dynamic way to leverage digital technology to increase sales and traffic at physical store locations. So it’s a win-win for everyone, including the Union staff ... who used this project as the perfect opportunity to try everything on the menu.
