Highwoods Properties is a Raleigh-based real estate investment trust that owns, develops, leases, manages and services properties in prime locations throughout the Southeastern United States. With more than 32.1 million square feet of office, industrial and retail properties, Highwoods provides spaces that allow businesses to not only work efficiently and productively, but also to enjoy their work environment. These high-quality properties are further complimented by a dedication to exceptional customer service that remains unrivaled within the industry.
Their old website had become dated and did not properly reflect the stature of the Highwoods brand or the superior quality of the spaces they provide. They partnered with UNION to create an elegant online presence that differentiates them from competitors and provides an improved user experience.
Outstanding Customer Service Meets Outstanding User Experience
While Highwoods is known for providing truly innovative spaces, it's primary focus has always been on providing unrivaled customer service. This same appreciation for customer service was applied to the new and improved user experience.
The "Find Your Space" feature is the perfect example of this. In order to help users easily find the perfect property, the search process was streamlined. Recognizing that users interested in commercial property may be approaching their search in completely different ways, we sought to accomodate those needs. Now, users can browse available space within a specific market or building, as well as search based on criteria like property type, market or square footage.
Humanizing the Brand
One of the defining elements of the Highwoods brand is its people. The Highwoods team is made up of dedicated professionals who are all passionate about exceeding client expectations. The previous website did not communicate this essential element.
The new platform also allows Highwoods to humanize their brand by using hero imagery that features team members. While an overarching goal was to streamline the content, our teams also went to great lengths to ensure that the content told more of the brand story.
