Dublin Dog: Home of Products (and now a website) That Look As Good As They Perform

When you have a product line as innovative as Dublin Dog’s you want a website that follows suit, which was exactly what Union (formerly Studiobanks) was tasked with when Jason Watson and Liz Barrett approached our team with the opportunity to create a responsive eCommerce platform using Magento for the relaunch of Dublin Dog’s durable, eco-friendly dog (and dog lover) products.

Union started by taking an in-depth look at Dublin Dog’s brand, helping them to further define their key messages, marketing goals and challenges. Our team was then able to implement a strategic plan to improve the overall user experience and convert site visitors to paying customers as well as engage their audience by integrating an Instagram feed into the site’s functionality.

Union’ Art Director, Matt Taylor, took the lead and set out to design an interface that matched Dublin Dog’s tagline of ‘Products that look as good as they perform”. Through clean, crisp graphics meshed with dynamic lifestyle images and an intuitive user interface, the final product rose to the challenge and succeeded (if we do say so ourselves) in communicating the voice of the Dublin Dog brand.

With designs approved and ready for development it was our Technical Director, Chris Jones’, turn - Chris is one of only two North Carolina Magento Certified Programmers and through his unique experience he was able to utilize the latest Magento technology, extensions and custom coding to deliver a highly customized and user-friendly eCommerce digital platform like no other.

And it’s not just our opinion, since the site-launch in October, DublinDog.com has delivered:

  • 47% increase in overall website conversion rate
  • 91% increase in overall monthly revenue
  • 23% increase in visitors finding the website organically through non-paid search
  • 38% increase in average pages/visit as users are staying engaged and exploring the user friendly website
  • 51% decrease in bounce rate as the new website meets the expectations of the visitors and increases traffic interaction
